Nice Original WWII Japanese Type 30 Bayonet With Added Knot Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Japanese Type 30 bayonet and scabbard. Serial numbers and manufacturer’s stamps are evident to the head of the blued, flat-sided bird’s head pommel with a button release. The lightly age-darkened, contoured wraparound wooden grips are fixed with two rivets. The blued, hooked contoured metal crossguard has a circular muzzle guide. The 40cm fullered bright blade.. The first pattern sheet metal scabbard, with a ball tip and with a rounded strap band,. Has a few small nicks in the clueing (see photos).
