Original WWII Japanese NATIONAL “RISING SUN” WAR FLAG “57”/70″. Flag brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified.  Most Japanese troops during the second world war carried a personal flag. They had practical as well as patriotic uses, such as marking positions to keep them safe from friendly aircraft while advancing. This is a rare Navel example. It has reenforced leather tips and rope ties (see photos).  Very nice large Navy ship example.   Shows the expected age and use.
