Original WWII German/Finland, Republic. VERY Rare Lapland Front Commemorative Badge Certified. Consisting of a Cross Pattée, joined together through the quadrants by a mobile swastika with its arms bearing the raised names of key engagements of the Continuation War, the obverse of the cross with dark blue enameled arms, featuring a central circular gilt oak leaf wreath, surrounding a white enameled disc overlaid by the flags of Finland and Germany, topped by a Finnish national lion, and situated above dates “1941-1944” and inscriptions of “THE LAPLAND FRONT” in both Finnish and German, the reverse with a central threaded lug retaining an original serrated nut, unmarked, measuring 36.42 mm (w) x 36.42 mm (h), weighing 19.1 grams, demonstrating minor flecking and loss of finish to the enamels and base metal, respectively, a scarce example in near extremely fine condition.   Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided.
