Original WWII Japanese Type 30 Bayonet And Frog Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Japanese Type 30 bayonet and scabbard.  No markings are evident to the head of the blued, flat-sided bird’s head pommel with a button release. The lightly age-darkened, contoured wraparound wooden grips are fixed with two rivets and has a number stamped into the wood. The blued, hooked contoured metal cross guard has a circular muzzle guide. The 40cm fullered blade. The  sheet metal scabbard, with a ball tip (tip is gone) and with a rounded strap band, retains little of its original bluing. Comes with nice but very stiff original leather frog. Nice example blade is good combat used condition! 100% Guaranteed to be authentic and is certified by The Gettysburg Museum Of History and comes with our Museum COA (certificate of authenticity). A rare piece of WWII history. Typical U.S. Veteran bring back DO NOT MISS THIS! The bald is stuck due to dents in the scabbard. We did not attempt to force it’s removal. Sold as is a relic.
