Outstanding VERY HISTORIC Heinrich Himmler Signed (HAND Autographed) On Document For A Schutzpolizei Captain 1938 Certified.  Heinrich Himmler  (1900 – 1945) Hitler’s Chief of the SS and Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman’s noose at Nuremberg. An original official German retirement document dated 24 June 1938, issued by the Reich Ministry of the Interior in the name of the Führer and Reich Chancellor. The document formally retires Schutzpolizei Captain (Hauptmann) Winfrid Finken from active service upon his own request. The appointment is issued from Berlin and signed “In Vertretung” (by authority/on behalf of) by Heinrich Himmler, who at the time served as Chief of the German Police under the Reich Ministry of the Interior. The document is printed in traditional Gothic (Fraktur) type with the recipient’s name and date completed in elegant period handwriting. A faint embossed official seal is visible in the lower left portion of the document, further reflecting its official government origin. “In the name of the Führer and Reich Chancellor, I hereby retire, at his own request, Captain of the Schutzpolizei Winfrid Finken. Berlin, 24 June 1938. The Reich Minister of the Interior, by authority, H. Himmler.  An important and rare pre-war SS artifact from under Himmler’s leadership.  The Himmler signature is VERY LARGE and VERY Dark.
