VERY RARE EARLY GERMAN NSDAP (Nazi Party) Amtswalter Sleeve Diamond Certified. NSDAP Amtswalter Sleeve Diamond is a nice example of this desirable piece of insignia for a Nazi Party political leader. This pattern of sleeve shield was worn by NSDAP Political Leaders holding the position of “Amtswalter” (an Administrator, Official or local Party boss). It would have been sewn to the upper left sleeve of the brown political tunic. This patch measures about 80 mm tall by 65 mm wide, and is Bevo style construction in the form of a black rayon diamond, against which is machine woven a 1929 pattern NSDAP eagle and swastika emblem, in silver-grey thread. This patch is crisp, with only slight toning, and shows no stitch holes or any other sign of having been worn. The reverse of this NSDAP Amtswalter Sleeve Diamond shows the textbook original tan buckram backing, The folded edges of the rayon show no fraying. This sleeve diamond displays very well, and is in excellent condition. It does have evidence of being attached to a salesman sample board (see photos) VERY RARE! In very good but used condition.
