    riginal WWII German LUFTSCHUTZ M38 "Gladiator" Style Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Formed in late 1932 the Deutscher Luftschutzverband, (German Air Protection League), was a voluntary organization designed to provide civil air raid protection in large civilian centers. On September 26TH 1938 a specific helmet for RLB personnel was introduced that incorporated a raised horizontal "bead" between the visors and crown. These helmets are commonly called the "Gladiator" style. The three piece, stamped sheet steel construction Luftschutz M38 "Gladiator" style helmet retains most of its original, smooth, dark satin blue painted finish. The front center of the helmet has a Luftschutz emblem decal in place which is fully retained. The black detailed, silver decal features stylized spread wings with a central oak-leaf sprig and a canted swastika positioned below a scripted banner, "Luftschutz". The helmet has two groups of seven "salt & pepper" ventilation holes to either side of the crown. All three of the small, flat headed, liner retaining rivets are intact. The helmet has an embossed, horizontal, beaded rim between the crown and the visor/neck guard. The visor/neck guard has a semi-circular "ear" cut-out and a brazed vertical seam to either side. Complete liner and chinstrap.     Original WWII German Navy (Kriegsmarine) Single Decal M-40 Helmet (U.S. Vet. Bring Back)

    Original WWII German M-40 Scarce Gold Navy Decal Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran.  Helmet retains most of its original slightly rough textured field-grey paint. The golden yellow Kriegsmarine eagle decal is retained about 98%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. M31 leather liner has tears and is missing a few pieces. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a deep number stamp, "333" and the interior left side apron has manufacturers code and size stamp "SE64" indicating size 64. This helmet was discarded by a U.S. Veteran in 1960 in Queens N.Y. We bought it about a decade ago sold it much later and recently had the opportunity to buy it again. A very scarce German Navy helmet typical of those worn by the coastal artillery units in Normandy.     Rare Original WWII Era German Model 1916 Double Decal Army (Heer) Named Transitional Helmet

    Rare Original WWII Era German Model 1916 Double Decal Army (Herr) Transitional Named Helmet. Factory re-furbished construction German M16 helmet retains about 65% of its  field-grey over-paint. The left side of the helmet has an Wehrmacht eagle decal which is retained about 80%. The tri-color shield on the right side is about 60%. The two forward liner retaining rivets, both of the extended ventilation side lugs and both of the early chinstrap retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has an M31 tan leather liner with the metal liner band ans all eight fingers still intact. An amazingly excellent condition liner.  Name is written in the liner in ink. Shows the expected age, but overall excellent condition. Nice helmet. The early large bolt German style helmets are scarce most of this type of transitional helmets seen are the Austrian versions. US.     Sold Original WWII German Named Combat Used Army (Heer) Belt And Buckle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. 1940 pattern, field-grey painted, stamped steel construction, combat box buckle features a smooth outer field with a high relief, embossed Wehrmacht eagle with down swept wings to the slightly domed center, encompassed by an oak-leaf cluster to the bottom and script, "Gott Mit Uns", (God With Us), to the top. The oak-leaf cluster and script are on a ribbed background and are encircled by both an inner and outer simulated twisted rope border. The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse. The reverse has the brazed buckle catch, prong bar and prongs all intact.  Comes with a nice 100cm long EM’s leather belt. Belt is complete with the size adjustment strap with the solider's name written in ink. A great combat used example.  US.     Sold Original WWII Period German Fire Police Helmet Brought Back By A U.S. Veteran. The stamped sheet steel construction, civic M34 "square dip" style helmet retains a  portion of its original black satin finish paint. The left side of the helmet has a, silver bordered, black based, police decal with the second pattern, silver, wreathed police eagle as introduced on July 28TH 1936.  The helmet has two separate, groups of seven, "salt & pepper" ventilation holes positioned on each side of the crown. All four of the flat headed liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 civic style, light tan leather liner. Liner is complete. Original chinstrap is complete. The interior crown has the addition of leather crown lining panel with internal padding. The back leather neck protector is removed as well as the aluminum top "comb". The Nazi party shield is not present and looks like it was not applied making this a later model.  Priced accordingly. US. Fresh, "out of the woods" and untouched M40 helmet with original liner and chinstrap.  A Q 64 (Quest) size 64 with the soldier's name in ink on the liner (see pics). A very nice untouched example with about 85% paint only a spot on the top where it was sitting for a few decades and about 85-90% on the decal (a few chips see pics). The sheet steel construction helmet retains about 80% of its original rough texture green paint. The left side of the helmet has an black lined, Wehrmacht eagle decal which is retained about 85-90%. All three liner retaining rivets and both inserted ventilation bushings are all intact. The interior of the helmet has an  tan leather liner with all of its fingers  intact. The liner is in overall very good condition showing light chafe wear to the edges.  The interior reverse neck guard apron is serial number stamped, “F10033”, and the interior left side apron is stamped with the manufacturers code and size, “Q64”, indicating manufacture by Quest, size 64. An untouched  combat worn example brought back by a U.S. Veteran. This is a scarce earlier helmet , most earlier versions were repainted for use later. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic and untouched .     SOLD Original WWII German Parade Bayonet With Frog And Trodde Eichorn Maker Brought Home By US Veteran. Parade version of the k-98 Mauser bayonet the workhorse of the German military in WWII. Roughly, 24cm long, nickel/silver plated, drop forged, steel construction blade with wide fullers to each side. The blade is still quite clean and bright. The ricasso is well marked with impressed manufactures logo and name Eichorn.  The bayonet has a nickel/silver plated alloy, opened muzzle ring, crossguard with one up-swept arm, a flash guard and a stylized eagle head pommel. The bayonet has diamond grooved, molded black bakelite grips which are secured to the hilt by two small, dome headed steel rivets. The "TO" slotted, stylized eagle head pommel and stud button are all intact and functional. The bayonet comes complete with its original black painted, sheet metal scabbard that retains about 65% of its original black finish. The dome headed throat retaining screw and frog lug are both intact. Has a used leather frog and almost mint Trodde with silver wire cloth and green finish (Army). Overall nice condition. The left side of the helmet has a black based, silver, wreathed, police eagle/wreath/swastika decal which is retained about 80%. The right side of the helmet has a NSDAP party shield decal with a narrow black outer border, a red base field with a central, white, circle with a canted, black, swastika. The party shield decal is retained about 75%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. Nice complete original liner that is a bit stiff but all original (see photos) . The interior, reverse, neck guard apron has a stamped, serial number, "3539?" and marked "?64" possibly "Q", size 64.     Original WWII German NCO’S BAYONET TRODDE Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran

    The NCO’s bayonet knot consists of the main components of, strap, slide, stem, crown, and ball. Dark green, woven cotton/rayon blend strap features a central waffle pattern flanked on either side by three rows of vertically interwoven silver/aluminum wire stripes. The strap is inserted through the interwoven slide and into the top of the interwoven stem. The slide and stem are both in interwoven bright silver/aluminum wire threads with a repeating, interwoven dark green "V’ pattern. The crown consists of horizontally laid, twisted green braiding with repeating silver/aluminum flecks while the ball consists of vertically laid, twisted silver/aluminum braiding and both are mounted on an internal, carved, wooden base. The bottom of the ball has a circular recess with an inset piece of the green strap.     Fantastic WWII German Luftwaffe M-40 Factory Re-issue Single Decal Helmet With U.S. Veteran Provenance

    Fantastic WWII German Luftwaffe M-40 Factory Re-issue Single Decal Helmet With U.S. Veteran Provenance. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains about 95% of its  rough textured, field-grey over-paint with a few scrapes and scuffs to the original, underlying Luftwaffe blue/grey paint and the base steel with minor surface spotting. The left side of the helmet has a Luftwaffe eagle decal which has been scratched during storage (see photos) .   All three liner retaining rivets are intact and tight. The interior of the helmet has an almost mint light  tan,  leather liner with all eight of its fingers and the original tie string intact. The liner shows only storage wear to the edges, light age and  toning. The liner has a dark black size ink stamp. This helmet was sent back to the factory and re-issued with a rough texture overpaint. It was never used after going back to the factory. there is even one of the vent holes in the liner still retaining one of the pre-punched holes in the leather. This helmet was brought home by U.S. Army Airforce Sgt. John Deere of the 100th Bomb Group 8th Air-force. Deere was shot down during a bombing run and was captured toward the end of the war. He did however mange to get this helmet after his release. His story is documented in the book "Heroes Next Door" (see photo). Besides the scrapes on the decal this helmet is about as close to mint un-issued as you can get. 100% guaranteed to be authentic Museum documentation (COA) included.     Original WWII German Army (Heer) Cold Weather Sheep Skin Hat U.S. Veteran Bring Back

    Original WWII German Army (Heer) Cold Weather Sheep Skin Hat U.S. Veteran Bring Back. Nice quality, multi-panel, patch work, whitened sheep skin construction winter cap with the natural hide to the exterior and the white sheep’s wool to the interior. The front center of the cap has a, machine embroidered, Heer Army eagle in light green threads on a cut-out Army green base with a separate machine embroidered, national tri-color cockade situated just below eagle. The cap features fold down side and back panels with the panels held in position at the top of the cap by a thread loop and a corresponding tie string. When the side and back panels are in the upright position the sheep’s wool is visible to the exterior. The back and side panels were designed to be folded down to protect the wearer’s ears and neck and the panels could be secured with the fabric loop tie closed under the wearer’s chin as required. This was a combat worn example brought home by a US veteran.     Original WWII German Helmet Recovered Near Brecourt Manor Normandy D-Day Band Of Brothers. A fantastic relic in good condition, M-40 German helmet with liner and chinstrap. No decal and some of the paint has worn off from decades of handling (see photos). This was an early battlefield pickup and was in an older French collection. It was recovered at the hamlet of La Grand Chemin just outside of St. Marie Du Mont and next to Brecourt Manor. This is where "Easy Company" of the 101st Airborne (Band of Brothers) gathered just before the assault on the German battery at Brecourt Manor led by Lt. Dick Winters. A true D-Day relic with complete provenance.  Obtained by The Gettysburg Museum many years ago from a local collector in Normandy. here is a rare chance to own a real D-Day helmet from the 101st Airborne area.  100% Guaranteed to be authentic and untouched.
