    Original WWII German Mauser Relic Used On D-Day At Crisbecq Battery (Utah Beach) Normandy Certified. A standard K-98 German Mauser rifle, the main battle rifle of the German Army and SS in relic condition. This rifle was found at The German Crisbecq Battery behind Utah Beach in Normandy. The Crisbecq Battery was part of the Atlantic wall and held several large cannons. Crisbecq guns took out the USS Cory on D-Day. The Battery was a Kreigsmarine battery and had some Infantry support. The U.S. 4th Infantry division unsuccessfully tried to take the Battery after D-Day, eventually the U.S. 9th Division took the battery on June 11, 1944. There was a massive fight there and the Germans held out 5 days! The Case-mates and bunkers were eventually blown up by U.S. soldiers and many were sealed until the 1990's when French historians excavated the bunkers and many relics were found including this rifle! This rifle was obtained by the Gettysburg Museum of History from the owner of Crisbecq Battery that is now a Museum. A real piece of D-Day history!   • Outstanding Original WWII German Army Officer’s Lion Head Full Sword Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified

    SOLD Outstanding Original WWII German Army Officer's Lion Head Full Sword Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. This example is roughly, 87cm long, slightly curved, drop forged steel construction, nickel/silver plated blade with narrow, shallow fullers running three quarters of the way up both sides of the blade. The blade is in overall very good condition and is still very clean. The blade is marked to W. & L. SCHEBBEN UNIFORMEN AACHEN. The saber has die cast alloy langets, cross guard, ferrule, "P", knuckle bow, back-strap and "lion’s head" pommel with a gilt finish. The obverse rounded tip, shield shaped langet has an embossed right facing national eagle with out-stretched wings that extend outwards on the obverse of the cross guard. The lion’s head pommel features a nicely detailed mane and pronounced snout with inset red glass eyes and the top of the knuckle bow is inserted into the lion’s mouth. The cross guard is marked Gos Gesch. The saber has a molded black bakelite grip with a central bulge, and repeating, recessed horizontal grooves with twisted wire wrap. The gilt finish to the hilt fittings is retained about 98%. The saber comes with its original, black painted, sheet metal construction scabbard. The scabbard retains about 96% of its black paint. The scabbard has an integral drag to the bottom edge and a sweated on horizontal scabbard band near the top edge with a raised rectangular suspension bar to the reverse and a suspension ring to the reverse edge. Both of the small, dome headed throat retaining screws are intact. This sword is in outstanding condition with only minimal wear to the high points.     SOLD Original WWII German Army Officer's Dagger By Ernst Pack & Sohne Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. A very nice all original un-touched U.S. Veteran bring back dagger. The dagger features a roughly, 26cm long, drop forged steel construction, nickel/silver plated, stiletto style blade with a flat central ridge. The blade is in overall excellent condition with some minor surface spotting and most of the original cross-graining is still visible. Ricasso is well marked with the stamped manufacturers logo, name and location. The logo consists of Ernst Pack & Sohne (E. P. & S.), MBH, Siegfried (Cul)Place Ritterwerk, Solingen. The dagger has a cast alloy, nickel/silver plated, cross guard, ferrule, and pommel. The obverse cross guard features the embossed army eagle with outstretched wings and a plain reverse. The ferrule and pommel both feature embossed repeating oak-leaf patterns. The dagger has a molded, burnt orange celluloid grip with the correct diagonally angled ribbing. The dagger comes with its original, tooled, magnetic, sheet metal, nickel/silver plated scabbard with a random pebbled pattern to both the obverse and reverse and smooth side panels. Both of the sweated on scabbard bands with a repeating, horizontally embossed oak-leave pattern and the hanger suspension rings are intact. Throat retaining screws are not intact.     Original WWII German Waffen SS “Cut Off” By A U.S. Veteran Cap Skull (Totenkopf) Certified RARE!

    Original WWII German Waffen SS "Cut Off" By A U.S. Veteran Cap Skull (Totenkopf) Certified RARE! The machine woven example was first introduced sometime in 1939, and was based on the 1934, metal pattern skull. The machine woven skull was designed for use on the overseas and M43 style caps although it was also occasionally utilized on the visor hats.  BeVo, machine woven construction skull and cross bones in silvery/grey threads with black accent threads on a cut-out woven black rayon base. The skull features a bottom jaw, dual rows of teeth and nice eye, nose and cranium detailing. The skull was torn of a cap. So many of these in the collectors market are mint found in factories at the end of the war. This is a true combat worn "Cut Off" from a cap. "Cut Offs" have become very desirable by collectors because of their combat worn status.
