Original Civil War Period Cap And Ball .44 Caliber steel frame Double Barrel Antique Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .44 caliber Cap And Ball Pistol. In non Working condition with duel independent triggers Civil War period model pistol.  It is a standard version with wood grips and steel frame.  This gun’s spring is good and it does work and does fire and cock on both of the two triggers and hammers.  the grips are slightly worn, but nice.  The gun is about .44 caliber. Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice wall hanger functioning display gun.  Left trigger functions correctly the right must be pushed forward to cock it both triggers functions to fire. A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons as illustrated in the photos.
