Original Nice Civil War Excavated Relic U.S. Belt Plate (Buckle) Recovered In Virginia great dug plate for the collector who wants an authentic battlefield ground dug relic. A light brown patina. A solid plate from a very historical battlefield area. This is an older recovered belt plate. A very historic recovery location and a very relic-looking plate.  Belt buckles are 4x rarer than cartridge box plates. When we went through old collections like this there are about 3 box plates for every 1 belt plate.  Recovered what was then off National Park property and is 100% Legal and 100% authentic.
