Original Civil War Schenkl Pattern 3″ Shell (Inert) Classic Artillery Shell Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History.  A 3″ shell that has been completely dis-armed (inert) no gun powder! This shell is 100% safe! It was cleaned using the electrolysis process to remove active rust. a battlefield excavated Union field artillery Schenkl pattern 3″ artillery shell as purchased by the Federal Ordnance Department. In relic condition recovery location is unknown.  It exhibits seven vertical raised ribs on the tapered cone.  It has been disarmed (powder removed) This shell is 100% Legal and 100% authentic.
