Authentic Civil War Excavated Relic U.S. Eagle Breast Plate   Recovered   on the Antietam battlefield in Maryland.   A dug plate for the collector who wants an authentic battlefield ground dug relic. A RICH brown  patina.  A ground dug plate from a very historical battlefield. This is an older recovered plate. A very historic recovery location.   Recovered what was then off National Park property and is 100% Legal and 100% authentic. Both of the two hooks are no longer intact, and it looks great, in excellent relic condition.  This is one of the better early pick-up box plates from an old collection. Has an old tag and the soldiers initials are carved into the back. plates this nice are very difficult to find and only come from old collections.
