Original Excavated Civil War U.S. Puppy Paw Style Belt Plate (Buckle).  Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A stamped brass lead filled early model U.S. belt plate.  This plate has a nice combat used appearance showing  wear, Recovered on the retreat route south west of Gettysburg  (see photos)..It has a light green patina.  This plate was excavated  (dug from the ground).  100% authentic.
