Original “Bormann” Formal Pattern Silver Ice Cream Bowl Recovered By A U.S. Veteran At Bormann’s House on the Obersalzberg Mountain next to the Berghof (Hitler’s House) . This piece come from the Bormann House from Obersalzberg a few yards from the Berghof. Bormann would sometimes entertain here and also at the Schloss Klessheim and therefore, had its own silver pattern that was used for meal service. These pieces come directly from Bormann’s House and they bear the markings of the Welner firm, . These pieces are silver plate, and they are marked on the reverse. It is in excellent condition with no issues. Brought home by a U.S. Veteran as a trophy of war. See copy of his note. It says it came from the Berghof but the two houses were often mistaken by U.S. Vets since they were so close so every piece of silver seemed to be labeled as “Hitlers” The note also said Platterhof that was also close to the Borman and Hitler house but they had their own pattern so that is not correct in the note.
