Original WWII German/Finland, Republic. VERY Rare Lapland Front Commemorative Badge Certified. Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a vaulted Cross Pattée, the obverse with blue enameled arms joined through the quadrants by a mobile swastika bearing inscriptions of “PETSMO, SALLA, ALAKURTTI, KIESTINKI”, overlaid by a central circular oak leaf wreath surrounding a black enameled medallion, itself bearing a Finnish coat of arms with the flags of Finland and German, situated above dates of “1941-1943” inscriptions of “LAPLAND FRONT” in both Finnish and German, the reverse with a central threaded screwpost retaining an original nut,  measuring 36.84 mm (w) x 37.34 mm (h), weighing 16.8 grams, , a scarce example demonstrating minor flecking and loss of finish to the enamels and base metal, respectively, a scarce example in near extremely fine condition.   Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided.
