About 8:30 a.m. on July 3, Wade was kneading dough for bread when a Minié ball traveled through the kitchen door of her sister’s house and hit her. It pierced her left shoulder blade, went through her heart, and ended up in her corset. She was killed instantly. While it is uncertain which side fired the fatal shot, some historians have attributed it to an unknown Confederate sharpshooter. Shortly afterward, three Union soldiers discovered the body and told the rest of the family. They temporarily buried Wade’s body in the back yard of the McClellan house, in a coffin originally intended for a Confederate officer. In January 1864, her body was relocated to the cemetery of the German Reformed Church on Stratton Street. On July 4, her mother baked 15 loaves of bread with the dough Wade had kneaded. Jennie also gave retreating Union soldiers water on July 1st 1863. The bullet in this display was found on Cemetery Hill. The Jennie Wade house is on Cemetery Hill. $395.00
Original WWII German Army (Heer) Winter Fur Hat Brought Back By A U.S. Veteran. In April 1942 Hitler approved the chosen design, and the first models were issued in the autumn of that year, included assorted winter fur caps. The fur caps were a standard issue item and were distributed to all EM/NCO’s for the winter season, (September 15TH to April 15TH), with other winter garments and were to be returned to the units storage depot at the end of the season for storage, repair and cleaning to be reissued the following September. Originally Officers and senior NCO’s responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and headgear were required to purchase the new winter garments until regulations of December 1942 extended the issue winter clothing to all ranks in the colder theatres of operation. Although there was no official standard model of the fur cap the most commonly encountered type followed the basic pattern of the Mountain and M43 caps with fold down back and side panels designed to protect the wearers ears and neck. Field-grey wool construction cap with rabbit fur front, fold down side ear lugs and back panels. Original 1930’s Plate Of Adolf Hitler’s House The Berghof (Haus Wachenfeld)

    $525.00
Original 1930's Plate Of Adolf Hitler's House The Berghof (Haus Wachenfeld). A very rare hand paitned plate of Hitler's House maker marked "Rosenthal Selb Bavaria" with the words "Haus Wachenfeld Obersalzberg". In the early days of Hitler's power people would go to the Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden as tourist to try to catch a gimps of their beloved Fuhrer Adolf Hitler. Security was surprisingly  laxed in the those first few years. Hitler would even go outside and great people sometimes. This all changed as time went on. Many of the hotels and shops in Berchtesgaden would sell souvenirs like this plate. Some were better than others. This plate is exquisite quality. It is hand painted and the glaze is raised giving it a 3-D appearance. Hitler bought the "Haus Wachenfeld that would later be called "The Berghof". This makes this plate's date Early to mid 1930's before the massive renovations that would transform Hitler's "Haus Wachenfeld" to "The Berghof". Most Hitler related items like these were destroyed or thrown away many years ago making this relic very rare.  Nice  example showing the expected but minimal age and wear. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic.
