Original Hitler Personal Train DR Marked Silver Fork Taken By A U.S. Solider Certified. This fork measuring 8 inches. It remains in good condition. It is marked “.800” . The handle has a raised edge and a plain surface.  At the bottom of the handle is a raised Deutsche Reichsbahn eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. To the left and right of the eagle respectively are the initials “D” and “R”. The reverse is stamped “205”, indicating that it from the Hitler personal dining and guest cars on Adolf Hitler’s personal train (Führersonderzug, later code-named Amerika).  This piece has all the correct hallmarks. Goering was the number 2 person in the Third Reich and was known for fancy extravagant wealth.  He was the top Nazi next to Hitler and was tried and convicted at the Nuremberg trials. After his his conviction he cheated the hangman by taking poison. This fork was taken by a U.S. Soldier during WWII as “Loot” or “Trophy of War”. This Hitler silver pattern was found in his personal train in May of 1945.
