Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) Flight Boots Brought Home By A U.S. Soldier Certified. Nice quality, multi-panel construction, electrically heated, Pst 4004E flight boots with upper, blackened, brushed leather, (suede), calf sections and smooth, blackened leather foot sections, are roughly, 14 3/4″, (37.5cm), tall from the top of the heel to the top of the back calf section. The boots have a stitched on, dual layer, central, vertical, spine to both the obverse and the reverse of the calves. The upper calf sections are constructed in black suede panels and have a vertical, zipper closure with an underlying, protective suede and leather panel, to the inside calves. The alloy zippers pull tabs have the stamped manufacturer’s name/logo and “D.R.P.”, indicating, Deutsche Reichs Patent, (German National Patent). The top edge of the inner calf sections have a small, horizontal, overlapping closure strap with a black painted, magnetic sheet metal, female, “Stocko”, snap and a corresponding male snap positioned at the top edge of the zipper closure. The top edge of the calf sections also have an additional, horizontal, leather strap with three, evenly spaced, vertical, leather retaining loops and a matte grey painted, sheet metal, sliding, fit adjustment, gripper buckle. The foot portion of the boots are constructed of two leather panels with a large forward panel and a smaller rear panel covering the heel area. The top instep of the boots each had an additional leather fit adjustment strap that was inserted into the top edge of the heel sections and ran diagonally up over the top instep, but they have both been cut-off with small sections of the straps remaining. The boots have stacked leather heels and soles with non-skid, rubber, panels. The interior of the boots are fully lined in natural, white, lamb’s fleece and the top, outside, edge of the boots each have a vertically extended, “T” shaped leather tab with dual, male, snap type, electrical connectors. The reverse of both of the “T” shaped leather tabs have faint, mostly illegible, stamped markings  and, “24 V 11 W”, (24 Volt 11 Watts). The top, interior of both of the underlying, protective suede and leather zipper panels have a small, white fabric tag, machine stitched in place with faint, illegible, black, and red inkstamped markings. The lower, interior of both of the underlying, protective suede and leather zipper panels have partially illegible, stamped numerical markings. The metal fittings show light to heavy surface spotting and surprisingly the leather/suede is still quite supple. The boots are roughly North American size 10, or European size 44.  Pulled out of a 40 year collection and was a direct Vet purchase by them. Nice example showing the expected minor age and wear overall good condition with a few small holes and some loss to the sole.  One of the classic desirable collector’s items   from the Third Reich  in good used condition.   Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided.   100% Guaranteed to be authentic.
