Original Very Rare Wood In Glass Case From A Higgins Boat From Omaha Beach Normandy Big Red One Museum Collection Certified. An original relic wood from a Higgins Boat Recovered on Omaha Beach Fox-Green Sector, this is where the Big Red One (First Infantry Division) landed on D-Day June 6, 1944. This piece was recovered many years ago in the sea wall at Omaha Beach it was from a Higgins Boat that was hit on D-Day. Many of the Higgins Boats that were disabled were set on fire to get them out of the way for more Men and equipment coming onto the beach. What was left was the big metal landing door of the boat And a few wooden panels (see photos) and spikes that were used to tie together the wooden sections in the Higgins Boats. These came from the Big Red One Museum collection in Normandy France. We have a few and will pick the best one for you! Each will vary in size and patina A VERY RARE RELIC FROM D-DAY!
