Original WWII German ARMY (HEER) M42 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M42) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains a good portion of its original paint showing some wear and field usage (some slight loss). Eagle decal is about 63% complete.  All three liner retaining rivets are present. The interior of the helmet has a M31, tan, leather liner with all eight of its original fingers and the  tie string intact. The liner has some separation at the edge see detailed photo. The reverse, interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number, “4357”, and the manufacturers code and size, “EF62”, indicating manufacture by Emaillierwerke A.G. located in Fulda (EF) with a shell size of 62. Original chinstrap remains. Nice untouched M42. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition.
