Original OUTSTANDING German SS M-33 Ground Rohm Inscription Dagger By Rich Abr Herder of Solingen Certified.  When Ernst Rohm was executed after the “Night Of The Long Knives” his presentation daggers were ordered to have his name removed. They had their presentation either ground off with a wire wheel or a file! This early dagger appears to be in good ground condition. The cross guards have excellent smooth surfaces, crisp edges and precise accent grooves.  The ebony grip is  good, still having its crisp center ridge on both sides. The grip shows little usage with no flaws or chips. It absolutely fits the cross guards like a  glove. The SS runes button is very nice. The enamel looks fine, but there is a little wear to the enamel surface. The runes and dual circles around them are nice and sharp. The grip eagle in the  grip. It has all details remaining to the bird’s head, breast and wing feathering, talons, wreath and swastika. A very fine, hilt! The scabbard shell is straight on both sides. It has excellent anodized surfaces, showing just the slightest traces of age here and there, but it is very mild. The matching nickel scabbard mounts have the same slight patination as the hilt. Both mounts are in fine condition, the lower ball having dent tap just off the center lower edge. The four original nickel screws are in place.  The obverse blade of this example is almost mint with all of its grain, needle-like tip and bright finish. The SS motto is crisp and reflects of its frosted backgrounds. The reverse blade is also nice, however, it reflects just a slightly different grain than the obverse. It appears to have been a well-done Röhm inscription removal, and did not damage the firm’s trademark. The logo consists of oval circle containing the company’s name and location, . Inside, is the well-known logo. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower cross guard contour..
