Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) M40 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M40) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Helmet retains a good portion of its rough textured Luftwaffe grey paint. Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal is also retained about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets intact. M31 tan leather liner is complete.  The reverse interior neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “12230” and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, “HKP64”, indicating manufacture by  Sächsische Emaillier-und Stanzwerke, AG Lauter, size 64..Has a paper tag that was found inside with the soldiers name and later taped by the Veteran to the side. Also has slight residue on side from a mailing label.  Nice untouched helmet.. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition .
