Portrait in civilian attire (suit and tie), signed and dated in black ink at the bottom edge: “Adolf Hitler – Salzburg, 10 August 1939”. Mounted on cardstock. . Hitler spent three weeks at the Obersalzberg starting in early August 1939; he received the Hungarian Foreign Minister, Count Csáky, on August 8 and traveled to Salzburg on August 9 to attend a performance of the Mozart opera Don Giovanni at the Salzburg Festival.  Signed in extremely bold black ink.
