VERY RARE Original Third Reich German NSRL/DRL 1936 Olympics Sports Shirt Insignia Certified. NSRL โ DRL Sportโs Insignia. As worn by the National Team at the Olympics. This example is produced in woven style embroidery, and was worn on participant tracksuits. Extremely rare and perfect to display with other items of the period! The ย Deutscher Reichsbund fรผr Leibesรผbungen (DRL) was established on July ย 27, 1934, as the official Sports governing body of Nazi Germany. It ย would quickly become a formidable system within the German nation. The ย aims of the promotion of sports in Nazi Germany included hardening the ย spirit of every German as well as making German citizens feel that they ย were part of a wider national purpose. A more controversial aim was the ย demonstration of Aryan physical superiority. On December the 21st 1938, a ย decree was issued by Adolf Hitler changing the name of the Reich Sports ย Body to Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund fรผr Leibesรผbungen (NSRL), ย thereby “elevating it to an organization served by the NSDAP”. This name ย change meant that the NSRL would be “placed under” the Nazi Party. Excellent condition. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. 100% guaranteed to be authentic. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic.
