Amazing Original WWII German M-35 Camo Double Decal Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of

Original WWII German M35 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M35) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains a good portion of its rough texture “camo” paint this very very dark almost black  showing some wear and field usage. This type is sometimes called “Battleship” or “bunker” camo. This helmet started a DOUBLE DECAL HELMET apple green helmet.  Eagle decal is about 95% complete. Some cracking in the decal (see photo). This may be a Kreigsmarine as it looks very gold and has the signature gold sparkle that normal Army toned decals do not have.  The tri color is also nice.  All three liner retaining rivets and both inserted ventilation bushings are all intact. . The interior of the helmet has a tan, M31 leather liner with all eight of its fingers intact.  size adjustment string is present. The interior reverse neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “4090”, and the interior left side apron is stamped with the manufacturers code “ET64” for maker  Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz, size 64. Chinstrap is   present but broken  one side. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition . Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic brought home by a U.S. Veteran. Since we are not sure if it’s Navy or Army and we have not seen this camo type before we are adjusting the price.  It is authentic we are just unsure what type of helmet this is.
