Amazing Original WWII German M-35 Normandy Camo Ex Single  Decal Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The helmet retains about 75% of its field-applied, Normandy type camouflage paint in shade of green-tans,  with spots of the original gray green paint just visible and some wear to the base metal.  With some “wood chip” texture in the paint. The outline decal is just partially visible beneath the camouflage paint. The national tri-color shield decal is painted over and is visible with traces of the Army Eagle decal  beneath the camouflage paint. All three liner retaining rivets and both inserted ventilation bushings are intact. The age and usage darkened tan M31 leather liner shows chafe wear to the edges and has numerous light surface wear. It looks stiff but it is very soft and flexible and   all the fingers are intact.  The reverse interior neck guard apron   serial/lot number, The interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, “ET64”, indicating manufacture by Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz, factory. , size 64. It has the original soldier’s name inside the liner (see photos). This helmet is what collectors call a “One Looker” meaning it needs no scrutiny or closer looks to establish it’s authenticity.
