Original WWII German ARMY (HEER) M40 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M40) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains a good portion of its original paint showing some wear and field usage (some loss from poor storage) . Eagle decal is about 98% complete.  All three liner retaining rivets are present . The interior is void of it’s  leather liner with only the alumimum inner ring and strap rings still present.  The interior reverse neck guard apron is lot number stamped but is not readable, and the interior left side apron is stamped where the manufacturers code and size is stamped but not readable I would estimate the  size as 64. Chinstrap is not present. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition.
