Original WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) M40 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M40) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Helmet retains a good portion of its rough textured Luftwaffe grey paint. Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal is also retained about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets intact. M31 tan leather liner is now gone, shell only and aluminum liner rim (see photos) .  The reverse interior neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “1546” and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, “NS64”, indicating manufacture by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, AG. Schwerte ,  size 64..  (see photo).  Nice  helmet shell.. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition .
