Original WWII German Luftwaffe Matching Set FLAK ARTILLERY OBERSTLEUTNANT’S COLLAR TABS. (Kragenspiegel) Certified.  Collar tabs were adopted by the newly formed Luftwaffe on April 14TH 1935 and followed the basic pattern of the earlier, DLV, Deutscher Luftsport Verband, (German Air Sports League), collar tabs. The collar tabs were worn in matching pairs and indicated the branch of service and rank of the wearer. Red wool collar tabs with two hand embroidered rank “gulls” encompassed by a closed top oak-leaf wreath in bright silver/aluminum threads. The collar tabs are piped in twisted silver/aluminum cord and are mounted on flat backings.  Very nice matching set.  Slightly worn condition; an excellent high-quality example.   Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition.
