Original WWII German Uniform Removed NSFK SLEEVE/BREAST INSIGNIA. (NSFK Abzeichen) Brought Home By A U.S. Soldier Certified. The NSFK emblem, being the figure of Icarus, modeled after a statue to an aviation pioneer in Berlin, but with a mobile swastika to its base. This insignia is often seen sewn above the right breast pocket, but this changed at some point during the war to the right sleeve. Machine embroidered NSFK national emblem consisting of a winged man, (Icarus), in pale grey threads with black accent threads with a canted black swastika superimposed on his legs on a cut-out gray rayon base with a gray cloth backing. Wingspan is approximately 75mm., Scarce. Removed from a uniform.  Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition.
