WWII U.S. M-1 swivel Bail, Front Seam Helmet Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A WWII helmet complete with liner. Has original factory straps and hardware in excellent (almost mint) condition. Front seam swivel bails. The liner and shell looks like it has been together for a long time, original factory paint on the helmet. Original WWII period applied paint and cork. All hardware is complete. Lot number is could not be determined. The liner looks like it was painted again in the field (many were repainted for occupation duty) . Has a “Shrimp net” that was added by a collector. Some wear on the original leather sweat band. The webbing is in very salty (combat used ) condition and some storage wear too. For a collector that is looking for an good example that is original. This is a late war (1944-45) WWII helmet was used later (occupation). We rarely get WWII US helmets because so many were reused for Korea and Vietnam so it’s difficult to find a true WWII example. 100% guaranteed to be authentic untouched WWII U.S. Helmet.
