Original WWII German Rail Road Eagle  Removed From A Train Car By A U.S. Veteran Certified. This 24-inch Railway Eagle has a beautiful shiny patina and unlike many of the 600mm (24 inch) eagles, this one has been used and still has all of the original bolts that were used to bolt the eagle to the train. This is marked on the reverse. – Gal-Mg-Si is an indication of the aluminum allow that was used (Gal=Galvanized Aluminum, Mg=Magnesium, Si=Silicon). The top of the eagles head and wings have typical hand tooling marks. This is a used example or a rare maker in great condition . This railroad sign is extremely rare . It is jut over 23.5 inches long  Train eagles were ordered to be removed in 1945 by the Allies to “de-nazify” them  This is a “one looker” as we say! Some wear from use otherwise in good condition with minor storage wear (see photos).  Rare!
