Original WWII German ARMY (HEER) M35 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M35) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains a good portion of its original EARLY APPLE GREEN paint showing some wear and field usage. This helmet started a DOUBLE DECAL HELMET but the tri-color shield was period removed as per the orders of 1942. You can see the area on that side (see photos). Eagle decal is about 90% complete. Some cracking in the decal (see photo).  All three liner retaining rivets and both inserted ventilation bushings are all intact. The top has a small dent and a minor crack from field use.  The interior of the helmet has a tan, M31 leather liner with all eight of its fingers intact.  size adjustment string is original. The interior reverse neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “4654”, and the interior left side apron is stamped with the manufacturers code but it’s unreadable about a  size 68. Chinstrap is all original!. Shows the expected age, wear and use.  In good but used condition .
