Nuremberg Desk Eagle on Marble Base. Nuremberg eagle with two-tier base, the top being marble which is original to the piece, the bottom is wood which was likely replaced by the original owner when the bottom marble tier broke (not uncommon) and the prize plaque was reapplied. “Under the patronage of SA Brigade 94 Hitler-Ludex 1939 Second Prize in the Gau of Ostfriesland.”  Excellent condition, all original with most of the original gold wash. The total height is about 6 inches tall.  Very fine condition. Nuremburg desk eagles were often given as prizes for competitions held at the Nuremberg rallies, and also as presentations to members of the political elite. This one has a presentation plaque (see photos).  Very fine condition. This is a “one looker” as we say! Some wear from use otherwise.  100% guaranteed to be authentic.
