Original WWII German ARMY (HEER) M40 SINGLE DECAL HELMET. (Stahlhelm M40) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains a good portion of its original paint showing some wear and field usage. Eagle decal is about 73% complete.  All three liner retaining rivets and both inserted ventilation bushings are all intact.  The interior of the helmet has a tan, M31 leather liner is complete and in amazing condition   (see photos)   The interior reverse neck guard apron is lot number stamped, and the interior left side apron is stamped where the manufacturers code is NS64  indicating manufacture by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, AG. Schwerte, size 64.(see photos). The code on the back is D102  Shows the expected age, wear and use (see photos). In good but used condition.
