VERY RARE Original WWII German Navy (Kreigsmarine) Signal Flag With Maker Stamp Certified. n the mid-1920’s the original German national signal pennants were replaced by the International signal pennants and flags. The International flag code consist of a group of forty flags and pennants with a flag representing each letter of the alphabet, (in English), pennants for each numeral from zero to nine and four substitute or repeater pennants. They also used a square signal flag like this for signaling visually in times of radio silence.   An extremely rare WWII German Nazi marked Navy signal flag. A red cotton square  flag that measures approximately 20″ along the bunting end with each side measuring 21 long. The white  measures approximately 8″ sqaure. Hoist end has small rectangular reinforcement patches to top and bottom corners. Hoist end has white cotton bunting with tunnel looped suspension. The cotton bunting is marked with stamping “Sprochwinkflagge” and the maker mark . A couple of small stains are present, but is otherwise almost mint. ALMOST MINT CONDITION!
